Still Life
There are a number of things I like about working from the still life. Unlike landscape, you have complete control over subject, light, and composition. You can leave it set up, and be confident that it will be the same the next time you pick up a brush. Although florals and certain foods do not have infinite patience, they have much more than painting from the landscape on location. Also, there are no bugs or people who ask you what you are doing.
