Figurative art is very exciting for me. It has so many possiblities. Covering the range of human experience, good bad and ugly.
For the most part, humans can relate to other humans more than trees and mountains. There is more chance for psychological study. One of my newest passions is painting the figure in nature, which opens up a whole new range directions.
